Who put the T in Diet? I have been dieting for 40 years and have just realized that to Diet...means to Die. Thats right Die Trying. Hmm, maybe the T is silent for trying? Yes that's it trying! No matter how hard you try to lose weight if you try to do it by dieting and dieting alone you have already lost the battle. I started dieting when I was 16 years old. I made a promise to myself that I will never be fat. LOL I lost that promise many times over. Yes, I have gone on diets and I have lost weight. I have reached goals but did I keep off the weight NO. The key word missing from DIET is Exercise. We should rename it to Die-ercise then it would not be misleading. Definition of Die-ercise? Diet with Exercise without both you are doomed. Doomed to the YoYo effect.

  1. I agree . . .You name a diet and I can guarantee that I tried it. While diets do work, they work only if you work the diet, meaning you can't just do it on the days you want to do i; you have to continue to follow the diet. If you stop following the diet . . .yes you are doomed; you tend to gin more weight then you started with, again I KNOW!

  2. Maybe if you don't call it a diet it may work. I find that when you deprive yourself of things you like you will cheat... Change your eating habbits and see how much of a difference that will make.
