Day 5 and no real progess.

Today is Friday, day 5 and I don't have any great news to report. I still have not decided on what diet I should start. There is so many different ones out there and most work as long as you stick to them and include exercising. Well for this week I have been fasting and not taking in any solids before 5:00 pm. Guess that would be good if i didn't make up for it after 5PM. LOL!
I guess with the house being so hot for two days it was also hard to stick to the diet. I ate of all things ice-cream, I very rarely eat ice cream so I guess this week was a rare one because i consumed a lot of ice-cream. Oops! I found myself eating right out of the carton anything to cool off. There goes any sense of a diet. Yup you know it, I got on the scale each day and to-date show only 1 pound difference. Yuk! I have to weigh in tomorrow at weight watchers and I am afraid I will weigh in on the upside not the down side as I wish to do (I will keep you posted).

I received another advertisement in the mail regarding 4 things you need to do in order to lose weight. Hm, as usual I decided to send for it and see what it is about. I will let you know what is is and whether or not I tried it. I am really leaning towards a protein diet for a while since I have soooooo much meat in the house. I really should consume it so it does not go to waste.

    I have a few ideas to losing weight. First, lets build up your matabalizm, by eating small little portions five times a day. That way, your body doesn't try to store food turning it into fat for later. Midsize portions for the first meal of the day, and real small portions at the end of the day. It's best to eat for what you're about to do and not for what you have done.
    Next, you have the WII fit down stair. Try to make it fun by being competitive. You know Asia has a few high scores. Try to beat them, and then try to beat your own scores. You know, when I'm up there, I usually try to beat who ever is on the top spot.
    Another thing, try to schedule your workouts. Think of it as a labor job. Instead of working hard for someone else, work hard for yourself. Of course the reward isn't going to be cash, instead it'll be weight loss and more energy to deal with Ciarra (not sure if I spelt that right). Yeah, Schedule and stick to it daily. I.E. monday through saturday, workout at 7:00 am to 8:30 am and 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
    Finally, keep the will to lose weight. It took forever to gain it, it'll take forever to lose it. I'll keep checking your blogs to see how things are going.

  2. Aunt Marie...YOU CAN DO IT!!!
    I agree with everything Rafyiq said above. It's very important that you eat 6 times a day. Breakfast, mid-morning snack (Sugar free jello / pudding, or healthy veggie) lunch, mid afternoon snack, dinner and light healthy snack. It is very important to get enough protein in with your meals. you don't necessarily have to get your protein from meats and poultry, but you can buy healthy protein supplement (I can recommend UNJURY Protein) and you can mix this in with soup, juice, smoothies, etc. Also it is VERY important that you drink 6-8 glasses of water a day. And when you have the urge for sweets, try to get the sugar free variety such as (sugar free popsicles, weight watchers ice cream sandwiches, etc). Also, it is very important that you at least get in 30 minutes of cardio a day. I am going to start weight watchers at work in July so we can follow each other's progress...to date I am down 35 pounds!

  3. Thanks for the feedback and I will try do some of those things. The one thing I have never been able to do is the 6 meals. I know that is a great thing to do but find it hard to do. i could not do it when I had a personal trainer. As big as I am food is not a high priority in my list. I have t remember to eat. Tamara Great Job on your weight lost continue the good work. I think it is a great idea to do weight watcher to gain a support group.
